A Message From Amaré

Amaré Stoudemire Foundation

ASF Vision

All proceeds from the Amaré Stoudemire Invitational Classic will directly benefit the Amaré Stoudemire Foundation. I proudly formed my foundation in 2005 with a simple mission; "Each One, Teach One." I feel a responsibility to help pave the way for our youth by sharing the knowledge I have gained from my experiences. My hope is that they will grow and in turn, will have the opportunity to pave a path for another child. There have been many people who have supported me, shared their knowledge and given me the help I needed to get where I am today. Now it is my responsibility to do the same.

This tournament is close to my heart for many reasons, but mostly because when I was a young man I was presented with some tough life challenges, Coach Burney Hayes took me into his home and gave me a safe haven and supported me. Without him I would not be the man I am today. This is my opportunity to do the same for other young men, and I plan to dedicate the profits from the tournament toward building a new house for at risk boys, in the Polk County area, who have life challenging home issues. As the tournament continues to grow, so will my vision for improving Polk County Communities. My long term vision includes a redevelopment project in which I am working with the City of Lake Wales. With the support of the Amare Stoudemire Foundation we will be working together to redevelop Lincoln Street and return it to it's old glory.
